Many of our older colleagues are blessed with good health and still able to practice medicine. However, some may note changes in their hearing, many of whom have consulted me regarding this problem. Not all of them require hearing aids for communication, but some need help with doing an adequate job of auscultation with their stethoscopes.
There are surprisingly quite a few options for electronically amplified stethoscopes on the market. But until they are purchased, most doctors will not know if they are sufficient for their needs. To this end, Milwaukee Ear, Nose and Throat has purchased examples of most of the available amplified stethoscopes.
Though we do not sell amplified stethoscopes, we offer trials so our physicians can make an informed purchase.
